What can I text Nightline for?
You can text us on 07982 107 920 for anything at all, exactly the same as our phone and online service! Whether it’s to chat about something bothering or upsetting you or just to get a phone number, our text service is available any time we’re open, 7pm to 7am, Monday to Friday.
Can you text me?
Yes, if you call us and need some information, but don’t have a pen and paper handy, we can text it to you. You’ll need to give us your phone number, but this will be shredded immediately after we use it.
Can I phone the mobile number?
No, unfortunately we can only accept phone calls on our main number, 0141 552 2555.
How long will it take you to get back to me?
We aim to respond to all text messages we receive when a shift is open within 15 minutes. If we are busy with another caller, we will respond to inform you of this and let you know that we will get back to you as soon as we are available.
Will you be able to see and store my number?
We will be able to see it if you text us, but we will never store your number. Confidentiality is at the core of everything Nightline does and all messages – in the inbox and sent messages – will be deleted at the end of every shift, so there will be no way for anyone to get a hold of your information following your contact with us.
Why has nobody replied?
If we do not reply to you it’s because we’ve had a technical hitch and the system hasn’t notified us of a message coming in. If you are comfortable to ring the phone number on 0141 55 22 555 just to alert us to a waiting call, we will check the texting and online systems. Thank you!
